With results from the remaining 2 Local Government Areas now in, the incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has won re-election in the Oyo State governorship contest.
Ajimobi did not only win the election, he also set a new record in Oyo State political history as the first executive governor to be re-elected for a second consecutive time.
Senator Ajimobi main challengers are former governors Rashidi Ladoja of the Accord Party and Adebayo Alao-Akala of the Labour Party.
