<b>President-elect ‎Muhammadu Buhari has barred the African Independent Television (AIT) from covering his activities, citing issues of “ethics and standard” that need to be sorted out with the broadcast medium.</b></div>

Acting on orders on Monday, security operatives at the Defence House, where Buhari is currently resident, would not let the AIT‎ crew into the building.</div>

Buhari received the Cuban and Switzerland ambassadors as well as other guests, but AIT was denied coverage.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Speaking on the issue Garba Shehu, spokesman of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, said: “AIT has been asked to step aside based on security and family concerns.</div>

“In addition, Buhari has decided that they will have to resolve some issues relating to issues of standard and ethics.</div>

Senator Bala Mohammed, Federal Capital Territory Minister stated this during the FCT Executive Committee meeting held at his Life Camp, Gwarinpa official Residence, on Monday, reeled out the names of the honorees as President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President, late Dr. Chuba Okadigbo, former Speaker of House of Representatives and Katsina State Governor-elect, Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, former Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Dahiru Musdapha, Business moguls, Femi Otedola, Aliko Dangote and several others.</div>

The soon-to-be commissioned Inner Southern Expressway which dissects Abuja city centre was named after President Jonathan while the longest Wuye district boulevard express road measuring 1,730 metres was named after Atiku Abubakar.</div>

“Some Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in various sporting activities were also among those honoured with Abuja streets named after them. They include first Nigerian single Olympic gold medalist, Chioma Ajunwa, first Nigerian footballer to have scored in FIFA senior World Cup, late Rashidi Yekini, former world wrestling champion, late Power Mike Okpala, first Nigerian to win World Boxing title, Dick Tiger Ihetu and the youngest Nigerian to play at the African Cup of Nations, Mr. Daniel Amokachi. They all had streets named after them in Wupa district,” the statement issued by the Special Assistant on Media to the Minister, Nosike Ogbuenyi read.</div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Christine Moyo, 33, of Emzaza, became pregnant by her neighbor and hid the pregnancy from her husband.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">However, her mother-in-law, Julia Sibanda, discovered that she was pregnant and questioned her about it. Moyo allegedly denied being pregnant.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">However, a few months later, when her mother-in-law realized that she was no longer pregnant, she insisted on knowing what happened to the baby.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Moyo finally confessed, and claimed that the baby was stillborn and she buried the body in the nearby cemetery.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">The matter was reported to the police and Moyo was arrested. After her arrest, Moyo said that she was forced to commit adultery because of her husband’s absence.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">She was convicted by Plumtree Magistrate Gideon Ruvetsa, of concealing the birth of a child.</span></div>

We have noted with concern, the allegation by the spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Lai Mohammed that officials of the Federal Government are engaged in “last minute looting of the nation’s resources, rushed privatization of key institutions and hurried recruitment into the public service”. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
We also consider as most unfortunate and uncharitable, the suggestion by Alhaji Mohammed that the Jonathan Administration is trying to “tie the hands” of the incoming government merely by continuing to discharge its constitutional responsibilities until the end of its tenure.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
The Jonathan Administration which continues to do its best to ensure a smooth and peaceful handover over of power to the President-Elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, deeply regrets the unfairness and combative frame of mind reflected in Alhaji Mohammed’s statement.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
President Jonathan has done his best in the past five years to discharge his constitutional responsibilities for good governance and effective leadership of the nation. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
Without any prejudice whatsoever to the freedom of the incoming administration to do as it pleases, within the confines of extant laws when it assumes office, the Jonathan Administration will continue to discharge its responsibility to govern until May 29, 2015.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
In continuing to fulfil the obligations of his office however, President Jonathan has not, and will never condone any form of unscrupulous conduct on the part of state officials. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
President Jonathan will also never authorise any attempt to create any problems for the incoming administration as the APC spokesperson, who ought to know that the outcome of the March 28 presidential elections does not imply a cessation of governance, unjustly alleges. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
As Alhaji Mohammed threatened in his statement, the incoming administration will be perfectly within its rights to review all actions of the present government as it may deem fit.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
We see nothing wrong with that. After all, the present Administration reviewed the actions of previous governments on assumption of office with resultant benefits for policy and project implementation.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
President Jonathan is also deeply concerned by the continuing suggestions that his administration still has anything to hide about the unproven allegation that about $20 Billion is unaccounted for by the NNPC during his tenure.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
To lay the matter to rest, President Jonathan in line with Section 7(2) of the NNPC Act, has directed that the full report of the PWC Forensic Audit of the NNPC accounts be released immediately to the public so that all Nigerians will be properly informed on the matter.</span><br />

<strong>Anesi</strong> and <strong>Osine</strong> <strong>Ikhianosime</strong>, 13 and 15 years old respectively, are students of Greensprings School, Anthony Campus, <strong>Lagos</strong>, and they developed an Android based web browser called <strong>Crocodile Browser Lite</strong> sometime last year.</div>

As a matter of fact, these teenagers’ creation is actually on the Google Play Store. Speaking to <b><em>TechCabal.com</em></b>, Osine, 13, said he writes the code together with his brother, for their creations and his brother also designs the UI.</div>

<div align="justify">
At a closer look, these genius brothers are just 
like every other teenage boy but not quite at the same time. Osine likes
 to play soccer, but also takes coding as a hobby – which is not 
something every 13 year old boy does.</div>

His interest in computers began at the tender age of 7, the same age which he and his brother –who was 9 at the time (born <strong>June </strong>1, 1999), decided to start a company of their own. Inspired by <strong>Microsoft</strong>’s
 “Windows” platform, they initially named their new company ‘Doors’, but
 later changed the name to ‘BluDoors’ when they found out that the 
initial name had been taken.</div>

The two brothers decided to learn to code at ages 12 and 14 respectively. “<em>I
 learnt to code by myself. I started in 2013, I used sites sites like 
Code Academy, Code Avengers and books like ‘Android for Game 
Development’ and ‘Games for Dummies</em>’,” said Anesi.</div>

According to both brothers, they started developing 
an Android based web browser, which they named Crocodile Browser Lite, 
about a year ago, out of boredom. Their strong interest in technology, 
coupled with their desire to learn, informed the decision to create a 
functional, fast browser for low end feature phones because “<em>We were fed up with Google Chrome</em>”, according to them.</div>

The brothers launched their browser on the Mobango 
app before taking it onto the Google Play Store so they could reach a 
wider audience. Their browser currently has around 500 downloads, but no
 ads yet.</div>

Their mother, Mrs. <strong>Ngozi</strong> <strong>Ikhianosime</strong>, a Math teacher, said, “<em>Oseni could already use a PC before could read, at age 3</em>.”
 She also said that the school the boys attended also played a key role 
in encouraging their love for coding. They had access to computers in 
school and they both had personal laptops at home.</div>

With regards to Anesi, who is in his final year of secondary school, his mother says, “<em>After
 Anesi is through with his secondary school education, will attend A 
levels, after which he will go to MIT in Boston for his first degree, 
because the university has the facilities he needs to learn well.</em>”</div>

Their father agrees and attests to the fact that the 
school the boys attended were very instrumental in their coding 
aspirations and continued interest.</div>

As for Anesi, he would like to develop other apps with real-life problem solving applications.</div>

</b><b>He was removed Monday morning by a motion supported by 22 of the 26 members of the state House of Assembly.</b><br />
<br />

After his removal, the assembly speaker directed the permanent 
secretary in Mr. Olanusi’s office to retrieve all government properties 
in his possession  by all lawful means.<br />
<br />

The Assembly  had last Tuesday (April 22) served an impeachment notice on Mr. Olanusi.<br />
<br />

The Assembly, in the notices signed by 20 of its 26 members, accused the deputy governor of alleged gross misconduct.<br />
<br />

Some of the allegations levelled against him include financial 
misappropriation, absenteeism from official duties and causing 
disaffection in the state cabinet.<br />
<br />

The Majority Leader, Ifedayo Akinsoyinu, representing Ondo West 
Constituency 2, moved the motion, which was seconded by Yinka Banso, 
representing Akoko North West Constituency.<br />
<br />

The Speaker, Jumoke Akindele, presided over that sitting.<br />
<br />

The House said its action was in consonance with the 1999 Constitution.<br />
<br />

The Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Kunle Olujuigbe, said the process would be transparent.<br />
<br />

Mr. Olanusi had two days before the March 28 presidential election 
defected to the All Progressives Congress from the Peoples Democratic 
Party.<br />
<br />

He, alongside his boss, Governor Segun Mimiko, had left the Labour Party, on which platform they were elected, for the PDP.<br />
<br />

Only last week, apparently due to his defection to the APC, Mr. 
Olanusi was assaulted by suspected thugs who tried to stop him from 
entering the Government House.<br />
