Political thugs unleashed terror yesterday morning on the residents of Opoyosa and Ayeye in Ibadan, Oyo State, looting and destroying properties worth several thousands of Naira. The hoodlums were said to have stormed the areas at midnight and were dispersed at 4 a.m, when members of the state security outfit, Operation Burst, arrived at the scene.</div>

Last Friday, hoodlums attacked residents and supporters of the <i>All Progressives Congress</i> (APC), who were waiting to receive Governor Abiola Ajimobi.</div>

On Sunday, they attacked Born Photo, Idi-Arere near Oke-Ado, Ibadan, vandalising vehicles, houses and looting shops.</div>

Residents of Ayeye and Opoyosa woke up early to discover some of their shops looted by the hoodlums.</div>

More than 13 shops were looted, major roads were littered with broken bottles and sharp objects to prevent vehicles from accessing the areas.</div>

Residents complained of frightening gunshots sounds in the night, which they said caused anxiety among the people.</div>

A trader at Ayeye Market, simply identified as Baba Folake, who sells assorted drinks, described the incident as disturbing.</div>

He said: “How long shall we continue with this violence? Last Friday, it was the killing of a policeman and destruction of properties, many innocent people were injured.</div>

The police in Lagos have arrested a gardener, Godswill David, for allegedly defiling a primary 3 pupil in the Ikota Housing Estate, Lagos State. We learnt that the victim lived in the same house with David.</div>

The house was said to be owned by the suspect’s father.</div>

<i><b>Punch Metro</b></i> correspondent learnt that on the fateful day, 20-year-old David asked the victim to fetch him a sachet of detergent.</div>

The victim was said to be searching for the detergent when the suspect followed her into the room and forcibly undressed and raped her.</div>

While the act was on, the victim screamed for help, while the suspect’s stepmother rushed into the room and allegedly met David on top of the little girl.</div>

She was said to have turned back and shut the door.</div>

David allegedly threatened the victim that she would die if she told anyone what transpired between them.</div>

Our correspondent gathered that on the following day, the victim was sleeping when David again attempted to have carnal knowledge of her.</div>

She was said to have ran out and told her ordeal to an aunt, who in turn narrated the incident to her parents.</div>

A Nigerian man, Abuchi Ngwoke, 35, was sentenced to death today November 25, by a Malaysian Hight Court on a drug trafficking conviction .</div>

Twin brother Jeromme and Jarelle beat 150,000-1 odds to become dads on the same day at the same hospital by the same midwife after their partners gave birth on Monday November 24th. And they both had baby boys.</div>

According to UK Mirror, the twins were initially shocked when told their partners had the same due date of Nov. 26, but neither believed they would both be celebrating on that date. But remarkably, the pair became fathers within a few hours of each other when their sons were born at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton in the early hours of Monday.</div>
