<b>All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, retired General Muhammadu Buhari has scored a total vote of 373,961 to win Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s president Goodluck Jonathan in Benue State.</b><br />
<br />
Jonathan polled <b>303,737</b> in the contest involving 23 local government areas of the state.<br />
<br />
Returning officer is Prof. Heward Mafuyai. Results was finally declared at 12:18am today (Tuesday).</div>

<b>After results from 18 States and the FCT were officially announced at the National Collation Center in Abuja, General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress has taken the lead with over 2 million votes.</b><br />
<br />
Buhari has so far polled <b>8,520,439</b> votes to lead incumbent president Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP who has polled <b>6,488,211</b> votes.<br />
<br />
From this result, President Jonathan did not make the required 25% in 3 states while General Buhari was unable to achieve 25% in polls cast in 5 states.<br />
<br />
So far Mr Jonathan has won in Ekiti, Enugu, FCT, Nasarawa, Anambra, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Imo and Plateau states.<br />
<br />
On the other hand, Mr Buhari is the winner in Ogun, Kogi, Osun, Ondo, Oyo, Kano, Jigawa, Katsina, Kwara and Kaduna states.</div>

<b>A shocking video recorded for PREMIUM TIMES in Polling Units 009, 010 and 011 at Oniong West Ward 1, Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, has exposed an official of the Independent National Electoral Commission colluding with supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party in the area to rig the presidential and national assembly election in favour of the party.</b><br />
<br />
The ugly incident happened in the village square - Ikot Eko Ibon village - within the full glare of the villagers.<br />
<br />
Former Secretary to the Federal Government, Obong Ufot Ekaette and wife, Eme Ekaette, a former senator, are from the area.<br />
<br />
But they did not show up for voting on Saturday. Some of those who spoke to PREMIUM TIMES in the area said the Ekaettes may have stayed away from voting because of their disappointment with the PDP and Governor Godswill Akpabio’s leadership style.<br />
<br />
INEC officials were through with voters’ accreditation as early as 1:30PM in the three units, but refused to commence voting until some PDP chieftains arrived around 4pm.<br />
<br />
The PDP chieftains, who apparently were working in agreement with the INEC officials in the units, immediately ordered all the voters to move away from the polling centre.<br />
<br />
In the midst of the confusion that ensued, gunshot was fired within the polling centre, prompting the voters who were mostly old men and women from the village to run away to safety.<br />
<br />
The PDP supporters then had a field day thumb-printing ballot papers, under the supervision of INEC officials.<br />
<br />
Security officials were not deployed in the three units. It is unclear if it is deliberate to allow the PDP supporters execute their plans without molestation.<br />
<br />
One of the INEC officials in the units told PREMIUM TIMES he and his colleagues were under pressure from their ‘boss’ to assist the PDP win the elections, but didn’t however explain who the boss was.<br />
<br />
The PDP governorship candidate, Udom Emmanuel, is from Onna Local Government Area where the rigging captured on the video took place.<br />
<br />
In other parts of Akwa Ibom state, especially in areas considered as APC strongholds, there were reported cases of non-availability of election result sheets at the polling units.<br />
<br />
The APC governorship candidate, Umana Umana objected to INEC accreditation and election taking place in his ward at Ndiya, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, because election result sheets were not available.<br />
<br />
The Akwa Ibom state chapter of the APC has petitioned INEC chairman, Attahiru Jega, calling for fresh election in the state.<br />
<br />
On Monday, the APC governorship candidate led a peaceful protest to INEC office in Uyo calling for the cancellation of the poll, describing it as a farce.<br />
<br />
The protesters stormed the INEC office while the collation of the presidential election result was going on.<br />
<br />
Mr. Umana said the party would not accept the results of Saturday’s elections held in the state.<br />
<br />
He said the party, after a review of field reports on the elections across the state, had come to the conclusion that the elections be cancelled.<br />
<br />
The People’s Democratic Movement’s candidate for the House of Representatives (Ikot Ekpene Federal Constituency), Anny Asikpo, has made similar allegation of election result sheets not being available during the election.<br />
<br />
“We have 365 polling units, but as I speak to you I have not seen nor know how the result sheets for yesterday’s election look like because everything was carted away by the PDP to an unknown destination. There was no election in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District,” Dr. Asikpo told a local radio station in Akwa Ibom State, Planet FM, on telephone during a live phone-in programme on Sunday.<br />

<b>The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says if has despatched a 3-man investigative committee to Rivers State to investigate the report and allegations of poll irregularities levelled by the All Progressives Congress (APC).</b><br />

The committee comprise of Mrs Thelma Iremiren, Col. MK Hammanga and Prof Lai Oluborode.<br />
<br />
In a series of tweets this evening, the electoral umpire says "it is expected they will submit their report before the end of collation of general results".<br />

<b>The Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on Port Harcourt, the state capital, hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission announced the result of the presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.</b><br />

In a terse statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, George Feyi, the governor said the curfew will hold from 7p.m. to 6a.m.<br />
<br />
"The curfew will continue till further notice," a part of the statement said.<br />
<br />
The declaration of the curfew comes amidst heightened tension occasioned by the conduct of last Saturday’s election in the state.<br />
<br />
Mr. Amaechi and the All Progressives Congress had boycotted the polls over the failure of INEC to supply result sheets to many polling units especially in the party strongholds.<br />
<br />
But the elections continued despite the boycott and the result of both the presidential and National Assembly polls were announced at about 2pm amidst protests and call for cancellation by the APC.<br />

<b>Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Saturday’s election, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, is coasting home to victory in all the local government areas of Cross River State.</b><br />
<br />
Results of 15 out of the 18 LGAs released as of 4.30pm on Monday at the state collating centre for presidential election at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Calabar showed that Jonathan pulled a total of <b>326,110</b> votes, while his closest rival and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj.-Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd) secured <b>19,774</b> votes.<br />

A breakdown by local government showed that Jonathan led by a wide margin in all the areas released. A total of 352,144 valid votes were recorded at the end of the exercise.<br />
<br />
The results are listed as follows: Abi LGA- PDP 19,756, APC 1,001; Akamkpa- PDP 26,775, APC 1,177; Akpabuyo- PDP 10,328, APC 895; Bakassi- PDP 1,403, APC 54; Calabar Municipal- PDP 28,091, APC 2,018; Calabar South- PDP 26,669, APC 1,939 and Etung- PDP 27,697, APC 317.<br />
<br />
Others are Ikom- PDP 28,765, APC 1,348; Obanliku- PDP 14,118, APC 2,120; Obubra- PDP 26,850, APC 2,472; Odukpani- PDP 13,549, APC 1,429; Ogoja- PDP 25,896, APC 1,353); and Yala- PDP 28,077, APC 1,526.<br />
<br />
As of the time of filing this report, results for Biase, Boki and Yakurr LGAs were still being awaited.<br />
<br />
The Vice-Chancellor of University of Uyo, Prof. Comfort Ekpo, who is the State Collating Officer for presidential election, had not formally announced the result because it had yet to be completed.<br />

Earlier report had suggested that Mark, representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who is seeking his fifth term in the Senate, might have been defeated.<br />

Latest result has however indicated that the Senate President has survived his toughest battle ever since he started contesting the ticket from the zone since the return to democratic rule in the country in 1999.<br />

Meanwhile, Governor Aliyu Wammakko of Sokoto State (APC); his Plateau State counterpart, Jonah Jang (PDP); Abia State Governor, Theodore Orji (PDP); and Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State (APC), have won their Senatorial election to represent their respective zones in their states.<br />

<b>The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) announced that electoral activities have been concluded in Sokoto State, and publicizied the presidential election results. </b><br />
<br />
In the results announced by INEC in Sokoto this evening, the PDP presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan, polled a total of <b>152,199</b> votes to lose to Muhammadu Buhari of the APC who scored <b>671,926</b> votes.<br />
<br />
Mr Buhari was therefore declared winner of the presidential election in Sokoto State having won with over half a million votes.</div>

<b>According to a report monitored on the Facebook page of Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, the APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari has been declared winner of the presidential election in Kaduna State.</b><br />

Buhari polled <b>1,127,760</b> votes to defeat the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan who garnered <b>484,085</b> votes (30%).<br />
<br />
Kaduna is the home State of incumbent Vice President Namadi Sambo. We had earlier reported that Sambo was beaten by the APC at his ward despite winning his polling unit.<br />

<b>So far, incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan is leading in the presidential election by 19,753 votes from 8 States and the FCT declared a the National Collation Center, Abuja.</b><br />
<br />
Results from 5 States from the South-West, 1 State from the South-East and 3 States (FCT inclusive) from North-Central have so far been public declared in Abuja.<br />
<br />
In all results announced, President Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP polled <b>2,322,734</b> votes while General Muhammadu Buhari of the APC polled <b>2,302,981</b> votes.<br />
<br />
President Jonathan has surpassed the mandatory 25% of valid ballots in all announced results. General Buhari, however, did not make the 25% of valid ballots from Enugu State where he polled 14,157 votes (2%) against President Jonathan's 553,003 (96%).<br />

<b>President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has defeated his opponent of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Gen. Mohammadu Buhari in a keenly contested election in Nasarawa State.</b><br />

Announcing the result at the state headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the state collation officer, Prof. Abdulmumin Hassan Rafindadi, Jonathan defeated Buhari with 36, 627 votes.<br />
<br />
He polled <b>273,460</b> while Buhari of the APC polled a total of <b>236,838 </b>after leading in seven local government areas out of thirteen.<br />
<br />
President Jonathan’s return quest got its biggest boost in Nasarawa Eggon local government which is home to an array of PDP stalwarts like Sen. Solomon Ewuga and Sen. Patricia Akwashiki, minister for Information.<br />
<br />
He polled 44,825 as against Buhari’s 7,574 to close in on a heavy defeat he suffered in Nasarawa local government where Buhari polled 29,160 as against his 19,889.<br />
<br />
Lafia, the state capital, which hitherto gave APC landslide victories in elections could not deliver Buhari in the same spirit this time as the votes returned shows that the APC got 53,008 votes to PDPs 51,633.<br />
<br />
To emerge victorious in a state which was previously written off for APC, Jonathan defeated his opponent in Keana, Obi, Kokona, Doma, Karu, Nasarawa-Eggon and Akwanga local government areas.</div>

<b>General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) of the All Progressives Congress was on Monday morning announced the winner of the March 28 Presidential elections in Kogi State.</b><br />
<br />
The State Collation Officer, Prof. Adikwu Michael, who is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, made the announcement at the State headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Lokoja in the early hours of Monday.<br />
<br />
Gen. Buhari polled <b>264,851</b> of the total votes cast - 439,287- to defeat President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party, who had <b>149,987</b> votes.<br />
<br />
The collation, which began on Sunday evening and ended around 4am on Monday morning, saw Buhari win in 15 of the 21 Local Government Areas of the state to poll 60.3 per cent of the total votes while Jonathan could only manage victory in 6 Local Governments and has 34.1 per cent of the votes cast.<br />
<br />
APC won with high margins in most of the LGAs with Okene, Lokoja, Adavi, Kogi-Koton Karfe and Okehi accounting for the highest margins.<br />
<br />
Okene gave APC 34,293 votes as against the 3,728 votes for the PDP, Lokoja accounted for 24,658 votes against 5,112 for PDP, Adavi had 22,659 votes for Buhari and 7,767 votes for Jonathan, Kogi-Koton Karfe voted 15,358 in APC’s favour and 2,735 for the PDP while Okehi had 17,801 votes in favour of the retired General while they gave President Jonathan 5,808 votes.<br />
<br />
The PDP however won with slim margins in the 5 LGAs they had with the highest margin coming from Ibaji Local Government, where they had 13,885 votes to the APC’s 6,076 votes.<br />
<br />
The other Local Governments won by the APC include; Ogori-Magongo, Idah, which is the hometown of Senator Ahmadu Alli, a PDP chieftain; Mopa Moro, Dekina, the LGA of the state Governor, Idris Wada of the PDP; Olamaboro, Ofu, Ajaokuta, Yagba East, Ankpa and Ijumu Local Government Areas.<br />
<br />
The other four LGAs where the PDP won are; Yagba West, Igalamela/Odolu, Bassa and Omala.<br />
<br />
Of the 1,348,956 voters registered in the state, 476,839 were accredited to vote while 439,287 votes were cast with 17,959 of them rejected.<br />
<br />
The event was witnessed by the agents of the two major political parties, the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi, the Director of the Department of State Security in the state, Mr Fubar, among others.</div>

<b>A former President of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), Alhaji Waheed Kadiri, has been conferred with an academic award by the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State.</b><br />

The award was in recognition of Kadiri’s efforts at promoting academic development in the polytechnic, where he once served as the rector, and advancement of knowledge in the country.<br />
<br />
While presenting the award, the Chairman of the institution’s Governing Council, Chief Alaba Lawson, commended Kadiri for his excellence service to the polytechnic in various capacities, particularly as the rector.<br />
<br />
In his response, the former NITP president, who also became the first presenter of MAPOLY Premiere Lecture, thanked the management of the institution for the honour and pledged not to relent in making efforts to advance the growth of the polytechnic.<br />
<br />
"I am always proud of the institution. One feels fulfilled always as one sees the products of the institution in various sectors of the Nigerian economy," Kadiri said.<br />

<b>The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has rejected the results of the election for Ogun East Senatorial district won by the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Prince Buruji Kashamu.</b><br />
<br />
Deputy Director of APC Gubernatorial campaign in the state, Bisi Adegbuyi disclose this while addressing a press conference in Abeokuta.<br />
<br />
Adegbuyi said: "the APC hereby categorically states that last Saturday election in the Ogun East Senatorial district was marred by gross irregularities, inducement and intimidation of voters, manipulation and falsification of the results.<br />
<br />
"We will challenge the results in the court of law."<br />

<b>Governor Rabi’u Kwankwaso of Kano State has won the Kano Central Senatorial District election held Saturday.</b><br />
<br />
Mr. Kwankwaso contested on the platform of the All People’s Congress against the incumbent Bashir Lado, of the Peoples Democratic Party.<br />
<br />
The Returning Officer for the zone, Aminu Sulaiman, announced the election results in Kano on Monday.<br />
<br />
He said Mr. Kwankwaso scored <b>758,383</b> votes to defeat Mr. Lado, who got <b>205,809</b> votes.<br />
<br />
The returning officer, who described the election as peaceful and transparent, stated that the level of sophistication involved in the conduct of the exercise had greatly boosted the morale of the electorates.<br />
<br />
Meanwhile, APC supporters have started celebrating in some major streets in Kano over the success recorded by the party in the state.</div>

According to the results from the 16 local government areas of the state collated on Monday morning and anchored by the  state Returning Officer, Prof. Musbau Akanji, Buhari polled <b>302,146</b> votes to defeat Jonathan who garnered <b>132,602</b> votes.<br />
<br />
Akanji who is also the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, said 1,181,032 electorate registered in the state.<br />
<br />
He added that  489,360 voters were accredited while 461,401 voted.<br />
<br />
According to him, there were 440,080 valid votes and 21,321 invalid votes.</div>

<b>The Oyo State Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate, Teslim Folarin, lost his local government to the All Progressives Congress in the presidential election on Saturday.</b><br />
<br />
Folarin and the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Jumoke Akinjide, are from the Ona-Ara Local Government Area of the state. They are the two major PDP leaders in the LGA.<br />
<br />
On Saturday, while addressing journalists at their polling units, both PDP leaders had predicted victory for President Goodluck Jonathan.<br />
<br />
Folarin had on Saturday specifically said he would be surprised if President Goodluck Jonathan does not win by 60 per cent.<br />
<br />
Akinjide, who is the Oyo State Director of President Jonathan’s re-election campaign in the state, had said that his endorsement by four other major political parties in the state was a sure sign of victory.<br />
<br />
Contrary to their predictions, the APC won in the council with <b>12,291</b> votes while the PDP polled <b>7,175</b>.</div>

<b>Reports from Kaduna State yesterday also indicated that Buhari was leading in most of the results collated from the various polling units across the 23 LGAs of the state.</b><br />
<br />
Vice President Namadi Sambo, who had won in his new polling unit, however, lost again to the APC by a wide margin in his Kabala ward 05 in Kaduna North LGA.<br />
<br />
Dr Husseini Momo Lawal of the Ahmadu Belo University, Zaria, who served as collation and returning officer in the vice president’s ward, announced that APC won the presidential election with <b>10,760</b> votes to PDP’s <b>1,760</b> votes.<br />
<br />
Results collated from Shiba Ward 1 in Kaduna North LGA also indicated that the APC led with 3,871 votes while the PDP followed with 1,827 votes.<br />
<br />
The presidential result coming from Ikara LGA showed that APC led with 49,146 while the PDP got 7,170 votes, and in Kubau LGA, the APC led with 63,875 votes while PDP got 6,377 votes in the presidential election.<br />
<br />
The vice-president had changed his polling unit PU-011 on Swimming Pool road, near Police College, to avoid a repeat of the 2011 embarrassment after he lost his then polling unit.<br />
<br />

<b>Niger state governor Dr.Muazu Babangida Aliyu has lost his bid to go to the Senate on the ticket of the PDP as he was defeated by Barrister David Umar of the APC.</b><br />

Announcing the results, the Returning Officer for the district, Professor Ali Audu Jiigam, said Aliyu got <b>46,459</b>  while Umar polled <b>149,443</b> votes. .<br />
<br />
From the results, Aliyu was roundly defeated in all the wards of the five local government areas of the district officially declared by Independent Nationai Electoral Commission.<br />

Jiigam said the APC candidate polled 49,519 votes in Chanchaga local government area, the council of the governor, who returned 17,209 votes in the area.<br />

<b>The APC candidate for Bauchi Central Senatorial District, Malam Isa Hamma, has been declared winner of the just concluded senatorial election in the zone.</b><br />

Declaring the result in Darazo on Monday, the District Collation Officer, Dr Mohammed Salisu, said Hamma scored <b>208,741</b> votes to defeat Senator Abdul Ningi of the PDP, who scored <b>57,172 </b>votes and Inuwa Nasaru of MPPP, who polled 1010 votes. Salisu said 272,964 votes were cast, out of which 266,923 were valid and 6041 invalid.<br />
<br />
The APC candidate for Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency, Malam Haliru Jika, also emerged winner for the constituency garnering 78,243 votes to defeat four other candidates. Almustapha Hamma of PDP emerged the runner-up with 13,413 votes, Kashim Mohammed of SDP polled 328 votes, Umar Abubakar of PDM secured 42 votes, while Mrs Hadiza Haruna scored 16 votes.</div>

Muhammadu Buhari polled <b>528,620</b> votes to defeat President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled <b>303,376</b> votes.<br />
<br />
The official victory of the opposition candidate in Oyo means the incumbent has only won in one of the South-West States, Ekiti, while Mr. Buhari has won in Ogun, Ondo and Oyo. This is a departure from the 2011 presidential elections where Mr. Jonathan won in all South-West states except Osun.<br />
<br />
The results in Oyo were announced at the INEC state headquarters in Ibadan on Monday morning.<br />
<br />
The total valid votes was 881,352 while rejected votes was 47,254. Total votes cast was 928,606 while total accredited voters was 1,073,849.</div>

<b>Results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission in Enugu shows that President Goodluck Jonathan has emerged victorious over his close rival, General Muhammad Buhari in Saturday’s Presidential election in the state.</b><br />
<br />
Jonathan scored <b>553,037</b> against Buhari’s <b>14,157</b> votes.<br />
<br />
Enugu has approximately 1.3 million voters of which 45% came out to vote on Saturday. Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu took charge of Enugu on behalf of President Jonathan. The Deputy Senate president also won back his seat as a senatorial candidate in the state.</div>

<b>President Goodluck Jonathan suffered a heavy defeat in Kano according to results released by the Independent national Electoral commission (INEC) in the state early this morning. </b><br />

According to INEC, General Muhammadu Buhari defeated President Jonathan by a wide margin, scoring <b>1,903,999</b> votes as against Jonathan’s <b>215,779</b>.<br />
<br />
The APC also wins all 3 senatorial seats as well as all the House of Reps seats.<br />
<br />
General Buhari has already won in Ogun, Lagos, Kwara, Kogi, Jigawa, Ondo, Osun and his expected to extend his wide lead as more results come in from more states today.</div>

<b>The All Progressive Congress Presidential candidate, Muhammad Buhari, has secured a crucial victory over his Peoples Democratic Party rival Goodluck Jonathan in Ondo State, according to results of the Saturday polls released early Monday.  </b><br />
<br />
Both presidential candidates won in 9 local governments each out of the 18 in Ondo state,  but Mr. Buhari got the upper hand having garnered <b>299,889</b> votes compared to President Jonathan’s <b>251,368</b> votes.<br />
<br />
Mr. Buhari was expected to lose in Ondo, a PDP-controlled state, as he did in neighbouring Ekiti where the former military ruler lost in all the local government areas there.<br />
<br />
There were predictions of even a tougher outing for Mr. Buhari in Ondo state where the South West co-coordinator for the Goodluck Presidential campaign Gov. Olusegun Mimiko hitherto held sway. <br />
<br />
The announcement of the Ondo polling results took place at the INEC Office in Alagbaka, Akure where Professor Olusola Oyewole, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta served as the Chief returning officer.<br />
<br />
A breakdown of the results showed that APC won in Akoko North-East, Akoko North-West, Akoko South-East, Akoko South-West, Akure-North, Akure-South, Owo, Idanre and Ifedore Local government areas respectively<br />
<br />
On the other hand, the strongholds of Gov. Mimiko in Ondo-East, Ondo-West, Ose were all delivered to the PDP. Also Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo, Okitipupa, Irele, Ese-Odo, Odigbo and Ilaje were all captured by the PDP.<br />
<br />
The total number of eligible voters in Ondo State stood at 1,501,549 while the total of valid votes cast was 561,056.</div>

<b>Early results in Lagos State indicate that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, is winning Lagos by a wide margin.</b><br />
<br />
Results collated in different polling units revealed that Buhari defeated Jonathan in the ward of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro and the PDP governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje. In Obanikoro’s ward, polling unit 013, Gerald, Ikoyi, Buhari scored 62 to defeat Jonathan, who polled 38.<br />
<br />
In Agbaje’s ward in Apapa, Buhari polled 127 votes to beat Jonathan, who scored 60 votes.<br />
<br />
At polling unit CPU 032 in Ifako Ijaiye, Buhari won by scoring 83 as against Jonathan’s 77 votes.<br />
<br />
In Agege Local Government Area, Ward 11, unit 006, Buhari led Jonathan by 23 to 10 while in polling unit 007 in the same ward, Buhari won by 130 to Jonathan’s 69 votes.<br />
<br />
In polling unit 009, Ward II, Agege, Buhari won by scoring 117 votes, while Jonathan polled 71. At polling unit 010, ward II, Buhari defeated Jonathan by scoring 139 votes as against Jonathan’s 81.<br />
<br />
In Ward II, unit 011, Buhari won by 95 against Jonahan’s 35 votes. Likewise, in polling unit 012, ward II, Agege, Buhari won by 66 votes as against 54 polled by Jonathan.<br />
<br />
In the ward of the PDP Lagos Governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje, Buhari won by a landslide, polling 127 votes as against 60 scored by Jonathan.<br />
<br />
In polling unit 047, Bola Tinubu’s ward in Alausa, Buhari polled 180 votes while Jonathan scored 55. In polling unit 008, Ward C, Buhari scored 95 as against 55 polled by the president.<br />
<br />
In polling unit 003, Ikeja, Buhari polled 67 and Jonathan 58 while in polling unit 009, ward F, in Ikeja, Buhari also led Jonathan by 49 to 39 votes.<br />
<br />
Likewise, in polling unit 38, Ward B, Buhari defeated Jonathan by 75 to 53 votes while in polling unit 037, Alausa, Buhari led Jonathan by 82 to 28 votes.<br />
<br />
In polling unit 012, Ward C, Jonathan led Buhari by 69 to 65 votes and also in polling unit 5, in Ikeja, Jonathan defeated Buhari by 86 to 67 votes.<br />
<br />
In Ward G3, where Governor Babatunde Fashola voted, Buhari won by a landslide, scoring 317 votes as against 135 votes polled by Jonathan.<br />
<br />
The result in Unit 005, in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Alimosho, showed that Buhari defeated Jonathan by polling 220 votes as against 137 polled by Jonathan.<br />

<b>Voters in the Ogun East senatorial district, comprising nine local governments have elected Prince Buruji Kashamu, a man wanted in the United States in connection with drug offences, as their Senator.</b><br />
<br />
Kashamu was declared the winner in Abeokuta after beating the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Prince Adedapo Abiodun.<br />
<br />
Kashamu’s victory was the most unlikely permutation in the State, facing up to Abiodun, an oil mogul, who ran a well-oiled campaign. Abiodun was expected to win the seat comfortably, but Kashamu defied the odds. He polled <b>99,540</b> votes to defeat Abiodun, who had 84,001 votes.<br />
<br />
Kashamu’s emergence was the main surprise in the senatorial election in the State that saw the defeat of two incumbents, Senator Adegbenga Sefiu Kaka (Ogun East) and Senator Gbenga Obadara (Ogun Central).<br />
<br />
Kaka came third in the race in Ogun East, winning just 12,972 votes. He contested on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), led by former governor Olusegun Osoba.<br />
<br />
Obadara also failed to win his seat back in Ogun Central.<br />
<br />
Obadara who also ran on SDP platform lost to APC’s Prince Lanre Tejuoso.<br />
<br />
Also, the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate in Ogun West, Prince Gbolahan Dada defeated the PDP and SDP candidates to emerge winner in the district. Waliu Taiwo from Ota was the candidate of the PDP while Biyi Otegbeye from Ilaro was the SDP candidate.<br />
<br />
In the House of Representatives race, the APC won seven seats from the nine federal constituency seats in the State, leaving PDP to clinch the remaining two seats.<br />
<br />
The two seats won by the PDP are Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside and Remo Federal Constituencies. Adesegun Adekoya, a.k.a. <i>Attacker</i> won in Ijebu North and Ladi Adebutu, won the Remo federal constituency.<br />
<br />
APC’s Kehinde Odeneye won in Ijebu Central. Segun Williams, also of the APC won the Abeokuta South constituency. Both were incumbents..<br />
<br />
On the whole, the APC won in 13 of the 20 local government areas in the State.<br />

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidates equally cleared all the three senatorial seats and 6 House of Representatives seats in the state.<br />

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office, Ado Ekiti Sunday, the Chief Returning Officer for the Presidential election for Ekiti State and Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Prof. Biyi Daramola said the president and other PDP candidates won in all the 16 local government areas of the state<br />
<br />
According to Daramola, Jonathan scored  a total of <b>176,474</b> votes to defeat his close opponent, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who polled <b>120,332</b> votes.</div>
