<b>LAGOS, NIGERIA - Veteran musician and hitmaker, Olu Maintain, releases his first single in a year titled "<i>Cinderella</i>". The highlife tune, featuring 2face Idibia, takes us down memory lane with some classic samples including Sir Victor Uwaifo's <i>Guitar Boy </i>and <i>Eddie Quansa </i>by the Peacocks Guitar Band.</b></div>

On the track, which was produced by <i>Kenny Wonder,</i> the artiste infuses a rich mix of different sounds across many genres of Nigerian music including highlife, afro pop, hip hop, r&b, and afro-soul. “Cinderella” also features the Legendary Tuface Idibia who started his career of over three decades in the Nigerian music industry on a platform with the “Plantashun Boiz” rising to be one of Africa’s most acclaimed acts.</div>

Olu Maintain says this song project is: "A tale of legends that cuts through time. It is a song for many generations. Young and old alike will find something in it for their listening pleasure". </div>

The underlying soundtrack is a cover adaptation of the epic <i>Eddie Quansa </i>tune by “The Peacocks guitar band” recorded in 1971 and adopted for use by popular TV Drama of the 80s: <i>The New Masquerade.</i> The song also features the timeless lyrical cover from the legendary song <i>Guitar Boy </i>by Sir Victor Uwaifo recorded in 1966 all fused with indigenously carved lyrical sounds the two artistes have become known for.</div>
