The Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Ameachi, has vowed not to allow the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, use the Adokiye Amesimaka Stadium for the party’s presidential campaign in the state.

Amaechi stated this at an All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship campaign in Etche Local Government Area of the state.

The governor wondered why PDP will insist on using the Adokiye Amesimaka Stadium when they (PDP) have been given reasons why their application was not approved.

He said the Liberation stadium which is also a property of the state government has been left open for the PDP.

While persuading the people of Etche not to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan, Amaechi reminded the people of how the Federal Government forcefully took away their oil wells and ceded them to neighbouring Abia state.

Governor Amaechi however told the people to vote for the APC guber candidate, Dakuku Peterside.

"They told me the PDP applied to use the Adokiye Amesimaka Stadium when I was in Abuja but how will you use a stadium that is under construction and we said no.

"I tell you what I have done in Etche. I have built schools, I have built Health Centres, I have built roads.

"You cannot vote for them not after they have stolen our oil wells and gave them to Abia.

"You have a young man who you can vote for. Not Nyesom Wike who is always drinking alcohol," Amaechi said.
