ABUJA, NIGERIA - The Nigerian Army said on Sunday morning that its troops, working in collaboration with sister security organisations have cleared Damaturu-Biu Road, Yobe State, of mines planted by the terrorists group, Boko Haram.

In a series of tweets on its twitter handle (@HQNigerianArmy), the Army Headquarters said the Damaturu-Biu road was cleared of mines by a team of Nigerian Army Special Forces, Explosives Ordinance Devices with support from Nigeria Police and local vigilante



Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, the Army's acting Director of Public Relations, said: "The Nigerian Army wishes to further enjoin the public to be more security conscious and report any suspicious persons and movements to the security agents."
