President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed Femi Fani-Kayode, former aviation minister; Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra and Jerry Gana, former information minister, as directors of his campaign organisation ahead of the February 14 presidential election.
According to Rufai Alkail, special adviser to the president on political matters, who made the disclosure on Thursday, Tony Anenih, chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) board of trustees, has been appointed campaign adviser.
Tunde Adeniran has been appointed deputy director, campaign head office, while Nenadi Usman is head of finance directorate.
While Femi Fani-Kayode is the director of media and publicity, Peter Obi and Kabiru Turaki are deputy directors of the north and south wings of the campaign organisation.
Jerry Gana heads the campaign’s contact and mobilisation unit.
Alkali also disclosed that Jonathan would inaugurate his campaign team on January 5, 2015 at the presidential campaign office in Abuja.
