Reports have suggested that Chelsea are ready to pay Lionel Messi’s £200 million release clause to sign him from Barcelona.

Amid growing speculation that he’s considering quitting struggling Barca, the Blues have emerged as a serious option for Messi in recent days,

And the Daily Star says a deal is firmly on the cards, with Chelsea willing to meet his buy-out clause, along with offering him a giant six-year contract.

The deal would blow rivals Manchester City and PSG out of the water, and would be difficult for Messi to reject.
