The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari of plot to smuggle a new certificate into the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Briefing newsmen yesterday in Abuja, Director of media and publicity of the PDP presidential campaign organization, Femi Fani-Kayode asked INEC to resist any thing that would undermine its integrity. He alleged that Buhari neither submitted nor attached his personal documents to form CFOO1 he filled as of December 18, 2014, which was INEC’s last day for submission of the form.
"Yesterday [Tuesday], General Muhammadu Buhari made a shocking and belated disclosure that INEC has his documents. He has not been specific about the documents he is referring to but it is very clear that this is yet another squalid attempt to give the Nigerian people the impression that INEC has his certificate", he said.
