The Ekiti state governorship election tribunal sitting in Abuja has dismissed the petition filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Kayode Fayemi, challenging the victory of Ayodele Fayose in the governorship election of in the June 21 2014.
According to the court, the petition was “lacking in merit”.
The court dismissed all issues raised in the petition, including the claim that Fayose was ineligible to contest the election “based on his purported impeachment and certificate forgery”.
