The Ondo State House of Assembly has directed the state Chief Judge, Olasehinde Kumuyi, to set up a 7-member panel to consider allegations of gross misconduct against Deputy Governor Ali Olanusi.
At its sitting on Wednesday, the Speaker of the Assembly, Jumoke Akindele, directed that the Chief Judge should be notified of the House's resolution.
Akindele also directed the clerk of the House, Bode Akinyelu, to serve the resolution of the assembly to the Chief Judge to express lawmakers 'preparedness to investigate the Deputy Governor on his alleged gross misconduct.
A Saharareporters correspondent who witnessed today's session reported that 22 lawmakers attended the session, and gave their consent to serve their resolution to the Chief Judge.
The House also adjourned sitting till tomorrow, Thursday.
