3-Year-Old Kidnapped In Lagos, Rescued In Ogun

Three-year-old Oluwabunmi Ajelero who was abducted from the Surulere Baptist Church, Ojuelegba, Lagos state by two unidentified men on the 19th of April, 2015 has been released after the payment of an unidentified ransom.

In a statement made available to newsmen, the men who acted as members of the church lured Oluwabunmi with a piece of gala and took off on a motorcycle.

Her parents and other church members who were oblivious to what had happened, continued with the church service until Oluwabunmi’s friends informed them.

Lagos state's police spokesperson, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, has revealed that Oluwabunmi has been rescued and is currently back with her family.

According to Nwosu, "The child was found in Abeokuta, Ogun state, and has been reunited with her parents. Investigations are ongoing to track down the kidnappers".
