As expected by many who know the political sagacity of a National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his anointed candidate to replace outgoing Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, has emerged victorious in the just concluded primaries for the APC.

Akinwunmi Ambode, a technocrat like Governor Fashola, defeated other contenders for the plum job on the platform of the APC.

Mr Ambode is now the official standard bearer of the APC in Lagos State.
