The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has chosen Professor Yemi Osinbajo as his running mate in the 2015 presidential election scheduled for February 14, 2015.
Osinbajo’s nomination was concluded last night after APC national leader, Bola Tinubu, was asked to shelf his ambition that nearly tore the party apart.
An early morning meeting between Ogun state governor, Ibikunle Amosun and Buhari finally resolved the acrimonious logjam in the party.
Osinbajo beat other potential candidates that reportedly included Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, Governor Adams Oshiuomhole of Edo State, and former Lagos Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora.
