<b>ZIMBABWE - The deadly fights within President Robert Mugabe's warring Zanu PF took an ominous turn yesterday after Mashonaland Central Provincial Affairs minister Martin Dinha, received an AK47 bullet and a threatening message telling him to step down or risk suffering the same fatal fate that befell the late Zanu PF political commissar, Elliot Manyika, who died in a suspicious car accident in 2008.</b></div>

Although efforts to talk to Dinha last night were not successful, well-placed Zanu PF sources said "the parcel" with the bullet and threatening message was delivered to the minister's office just after midnight yesterday morning - amid "clear indications" that this was the work of hardliners angling to succeed Mugabe in the nonagenarian's fast-imploding party.</div>

 According to <b><a href="http://www.myzimbabwe.co.zw/news/3725-we-ll-kill-you-like-we-did-elliot-manyika-minister-martin-dinha-told-gets-parcel-with-ak47-bullet.html">My Zimbabwe</a></b>, the lawyer-turned-politician, a lightweight in Zanu PF, was said to be "very shaken and in hiding".</div>

Although once linked to ousted former Vice President Joice Mujuru, Dinha is now said to be very close to the First Family - which has apparently displeased some hawks among Zanu PF's ambitious young Turks, who are known as the Generation 40 (G40) camp.</div>

It is claimed that the G40 is not only impatient to take over from Mugabe and other ageing party bigwigs such as Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa, but also that they "desire sole and unfettered influence" over the nonagenarian's influential wife, Grace - who insiders say will have a major say over who succeeds her husband.</div>

"Someone went to the minister's office and left an envelope with the security guards. As is the norm, when Dinha's secretary arrived in the morning, the envelope was handed to her and she duly opened it and discovered the disturbing contents.</div>

"She immediately phoned her boss, who was shaken by this development. As we speak, he has gone into hiding. For your own information, Manyika was given a death threat before he was eliminated. So the minister is taking the threats seriously," the source said.</div>

A menacing message accompanied the AK47 bullet and read:</div>

Simbarashe Machokoto who resides in Mufakose said his manhood went AWOL after a romp with a hooker identified as Laiza, whose base of operations is in the vicinity of a Budiriro 4 Bar.</div>

"I picked up a hooker called Laiza at a Bar in Budiriro 4. We did our business after agreeing on a US$5 charge at a makeshift lodge in the neighbourhood. Unfortunately I ended up incurring costs to the tune of $15 and I failed to settle the bill since I had only $5 in my pocket. I then promised to give her the money later since I was her regular," revealed Machokoto</div>

He added that the thigh vendor called him a few days later demanding her dues but he did not feel like paying up giving one excuse after the other. Machokoto said the ten days that he went without peeing felt like a 'year' because of the excruciating pain he had to endure.</div>

He said they tried a 'certain' church in Waterfalls but failed to get help as they did not have the $300 that is required for 'booking'. Machokoto said by that time he was now openly crying as the pain had reached extremity. He sent word to his parents who then came and witnessed the shocking 'absence' of the bedroom equipment. He said he was past caring at that point as a result of the intense pain.</div>

Family and relatives then arranged for an appointment with a Prophet from the Johani Masowe yeChishanu, Nyenyedzi Nomwe in Buridiro 4.</div>

<b>MUZARABANI, ZIMBABWE - Five members of the same family were charged with the murder of a prophet who had been called to their their home in the village of Mazonde, Zimbabwe to help them cleanse their house of evil spirits.</b></div>

According to local newspaper, <b>Zed 24 News</b>, the accused family identified as Leanmore Mutero, Tonderai Muswere, Michael Muchengeti, Manasa Mutero and Nicholas Mutero, appeared at the High Court in Harare facing a murder charge for participating in the death of self-professed Prophet Shamiso Kanyama, who accidentally died during a healing ceremony.</div>

Pastor Kanyama had reportedly asked his followers to bury him alive so that he could summon more cleansing powers to heal the family that had been plagued by mysterious deaths.</div>

<i>Zed 24 News </i>reports that High Court Justice Owen Tagu heard how on that day, the late pastor had been invited to attend the home in the Muzarabani district, which is situated along the Mozambique-Zimbabwe border, by their priest, Zvidzai Muchengeti.</div>

The five men had requested the priest to help them clean their home of evil spirits, because it was causing mysterious deaths in their family.</div>

Responding to their request to perform a healing ceremony, Kanyama had ordered his followers to dig a grave and bury him alive because that was the way he summoned more healing powers to ward off evil spirits. However, the plan backfired on the prophet when instead of being resurrected as he supposed, the men dug up the grave again to find him dead.</div>

Kanyama helped to dig his own grave before praying and jumping inside, Father Zvidzai, who has turned State witness, told the High Court. He continued that after laying face down in the grave, he ordered his followers to start covering him with soil.</div>

"He pegged a grave-shaped pit in front of my hut and asked for help to dig the pit," Zvidzai continued. "Deceased requested to be buried alive so that he would gain power to drive away the evil forces."</div>

Fearing for the life of the prophet as the men were in the process of filling the grave, he requested the men to stop what they were doing, Joseph Taderera told Justice Tagu.</div>

However, they ignored his pleas when Kanyama urged them to continue the process of burying him alive, stating that he would rise from the grave unharmed.</div>

"I warned the men about the danger of their actions, but my advice fell on deaf ears because Kanyama shouted, telling me that I am disturbing his angels, and urged them to continue filling the grave, saying that he would later come out alive," Taderera said.</div>

In the accord, we agreed to, among other things, run an issue-based campaign and pledged that our electoral campaigns will not involve any religious incitement, ethnic or tribal profiling, both by ourselves and all agents acting in our names. </div>

Now that the campaigns have come to an end, we meet today to renew our pledge for peaceful elections. </div>

<b>WASHINGTON DC, USA - President Muhammadu  Buhari Tuesday in the United States vowed that his administration would trace the accounts of individuals who stashed away ill-gotten oil money, freeze and recover the loot and prosecute the culprits.</b></div>

Reacting to questions from members of Nigerians In Diaspora Organization (NIDO) in the United States and Canada at the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC on the third day of his visit, the President lamented that "Corruption in Nigeria has virtually developed into a culture where honest people are abused."</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
According to him: "250,000 barrels per day of Nigerian crude are being stolen and people sell and put the money into individual accounts", adding that the United States and other developed countries "are helping us to trace such accounts now. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
We will ask that such accounts be frozen and prosecute the persons. The amount involved is mind-boggling. Some former ministers were selling about one million barrels per day. I assure you that we will trace and repatriate such money and use the documents to prosecute them. A lot of damage has been done to the integrity of Nigeria with individuals and institutions already compromised."</div>

Citing the example of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), President Buhari said unlike what obtained during his tenure as Federal Commissioner for Petroleum under military regime when the NNPC had only two traceable accounts before paying oil proceeds into the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), "now everybody is doing anyhow."</div>

The President, who expressed skepticism on the existence of oil subsidy, said if subsidy was removed, transport, housing and food prices would go out of control and the average worker would suffer untold hardship.</div>

While agreeing that the "economy is in an extremely bad shape", following 16 years of bad government by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which ran down the oil refineries and had the "treasury in their pockets," he said the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration would fulfill its three-pronged campaign manifesto of providing security, turning around the economy with a major focus on youth employment and fighting corruption. According to him, agriculture and mining would receive priority attention as faster job-creation avenues for the teeming unemployed youth, adding that some foreign investors had agreed to take advantage of the immense business opportunities in Nigeria.</div>

President Jonathan when asked if the Federal Government (FG) would agree to negotiate with the Boko Haram insurgent and terrorist organization to pave way for the release of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls, replied that the FG would only negotiate if genuine and confirmed leaders of the militant sect came forward and convinced the FG of the current conditions of the girls, their location and the sect’s willingness to negotiate. </div>

"Our objective is that we want the girls back, alive and returned to their families and rehabilitated. We are working with neighboring countries if they will help," he said.</div>

On when he would form his cabinet, the President, who observed jokingly that the question was chasing him around the world even to the point that at home he had been nicknamed, <i>Baba Go Slow!</i>, noted that not even the PDP during all the years it ruled the country ever formed a cabinet within the first four months. </div>

"I am going to go slow and steady," he assured, as he called for patience to allow the new administration "put some sense into governance and deal with corruption."</div>

President Buhari promised that his administration would at the right time tap into the enormous talents available amongst members of NIDO especially as consultants while their requests for voting right in 2019, a Diaspora Commission and opening of new Consulates in parts of the United States and Canada would be looked into.</div>

The President had earlier met at the same venue with a group of young professionals in the United States and assured them of his government's resolve to fight corruption, remain steadfast and invest heavily in education which he said was the answer to taking the youth out of poverty and ignorance.  The youth in their huge numbers took turns to express their best wishes for the President and the country.</div>
