<b>President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday acknowledged receipt of the Amnesty International report on Nigeria titled "Nigeria: Stories of horror in their own words", and promised to study it with a view to taking an action on it.</b></div>

Shehu quoted the President as saying the reports contained many disturbing allegations that needed to be looked into.</div>

<b>Tukur Yusuf Buratai, a Major-General in the Nigerian Army, has been appointed the force commander of the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF).</b></div>

According to Chris Olukolade, a Major-General and Director of Defence Information, who made the announcement on Wednesday, Buratai has already assumed duties at the new headquarters in N'Djamena, capital of Chad Republic.</div>

"The reorganised MNJTF arrangement is in line with the decisions of member countries of the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC), which include Nigeria, Chad, Niger and Cameroun, with Benin Republic as a honorary member", he said.</div>

"The arrangement has the backing of partners in the fight against Boko Haram namely; France, the UK and the USA.</div>

Jubrin told State House Correspondents after the closed door meeting that the meeting, the first with the president since his inauguration on May 29, was successful.</div>

"Since he was inaugurated as the President and Commander in Chief, this is the first time that we are formally meeting him to give a general security briefing of the country and that went very well," he said.</div>

He said the military would like to maintain the level of successes recorded against Boko Haram terrorists and sustain it until they are defeated.</div>

He said the military would go back and work on the command centre following the president’s directive that it had to relocate to Maiduguri.</div>

The governor said the government had banned heavy duty vehicles from plying state roads, adding that they must trans-load their cargoes on getting to state roads.</div>

According to him, the materials used in constructing state roads are not the same as the ones used in building federal roads and each time heavy duty trucks ply state roads, they cause heavy damage on them. </div>
