<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the more than 50 operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to immediately vacate the Lagos residence of the senator-elect for Ogun East Senatorial District, Mr. Buruji Kashamu.</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The NDLEA, whose operatives had laid siege on Kashamu's residence in Lagos since Saturday, said it had received a formal extradition request on Kashamu from the government of the United States of America and was coming to court to secure an extradition order.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But Justice Ibrahim Buba, in a bench ruling on Tuesday afternoon, pronounced the action of the NDLEA as sub-judice and ordered the men of the Nigerian police to ensure that NDLEA operatives vacate Kashamu's premises "without a free for all".</div>

APC Denies Saraki's Tweet, Says Senate Presidency Not Zoned

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>It appears APC is having a silent battle over who becomes the next senate President. </b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Senator Bukola Saraki, a front runner for the seat of the Senate president, had tweeted that the party had reaffirmed its position to zone the seat of the Senate Presidency to the North Central.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<blockquote align="center" class="twitter-tweet" lang="en">
<div dir="ltr" lang="en">
I am delighted that NWC of our dear party yesterday reaffirmed its earlier decision to zone position of Senate President to North Central</div>
— Bukola Saraki (APC) (@bukolasaraki) <a href="https://twitter.com/bukolasaraki/status/603125069372592128">May 26, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js"></script></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
However, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied a published report that its National Working Committee met on Monday night and decided to zone the Senate Presidency to the North-Central and the Speaker of the House of Representatives to the South-West, saying nothing like that ever happened.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by its National Secretary, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, the party said it was deeply embarrassed by the story which was apparently planted in the media to sow the seeds of instability in the party.</div>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="text-align: justify;">
The NWC never discussed the issue of zoning at its meeting. Therefore, the report of its decision on zoning is a figment of the imagination of whoever concocted the story.</blockquote>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
APC said nothing has changed since the President-elect said he is ready to work with anyone from any part of the country who occupies any of the principal offices of the incoming National Assembly, including those of the Senate Presidency and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.<br />
<br />
Apparently after hearing about the party's denial of his tweet position, Senator Saraki retraced his steps with another tweet some two hours after the first tweet, suggesting his call for a primary election to be conducted for the Senate Presidency like the party did during its presidential primaries.<br />
<br />
<blockquote align="center" class="twitter-tweet" lang="en">
<div dir="ltr" lang="en">
APC stands for internal democracy as displayed during the Presidential primaries of our dear party. I believe same should happen for SP</div>
— Bukola Saraki (APC) (@bukolasaraki) <a href="https://twitter.com/bukolasaraki/status/603140516239257600">May 26, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js"></script></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Recall that the National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu had told press men last week that the party will not be zoning the position of the Senate Presidency and that they will not compromise merit during the process for the emergency of a Senate President.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Carlo Ancelotti has been sacked as manager of Real Madrid after two seasons in charge of the Spanish club. </b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Italian, 55, led Real to victory in the Spanish Cup before claiming the club's 10th European Cup last season.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But this year they were knocked out by Juventus in the Champions League semi-finals, while Barcelona won La Liga.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ancelotti's side finished second in Spain's top flight, two points behind Barca, who have reached the Spanish Cup and Champions League finals.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Club president Florentino Perez told a news conference it had "not been an easy decision" before thanking Ancelotti and adding that a new manager would be appointed "in the coming week".</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
