<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Two transport workers, John and Yaro have lost their lives in a fire incident that occurred at Ijora Badia suburb of Lagos on Thursday, January 15.</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
27-year-old <b>John</b> and 32-year-old <b>Yaro</b> were burnt to death in one of the buildings that were destroyed by the fire.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
According to <b>Punch</b>, another fire incident on the same day which occurred at the <b>Iwaya </b>suburb of Lagos destroyed about 35 shops, not fewer than 18 vehicles and 25 buildings.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The fire incident at both <b>Ijora Badia</b> and Iwaya was reported to have occurred at about 1.00am and lasted till about 6.00am.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
One of the affected residents in Ijora, <b>Mr. Gbenga Ojajuni</b>, told <i>Punch</i> that the fire started from a power surge.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"We had not had constant electricity in the area for months, but three days ago, the power supply became regular. At about 1.00am, there was a surge in a shop, and the fire started. Most of us were sleeping. By the time we became aware of the incident, several buildings were ablaze. We mobilised ourselves and tried to extinguish it. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"We did not realise that two men were trapped in a room. It was after the fire had gone down, and we were clearing the debris, that we saw them. The two men were transport workers, and they were sleeping in the same room. The fire consumed our property and the goods in our shops. As I speak with you, we have nothing left," Mr. Gbenga Ojajuni, who lost a shop and a five-room apartment to the fire revealed.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In Iwaya, an affected resident, <b>Mr Yekini Azeez</b>, who lost his commercial bus to the fire, told <i>Punch </i>that the fire incident in Iwaya was the handwork of some hoodlums.</div>

<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Unless there is a miracle or a last minute reprieve, 2 Nigerian drug traffickers would be put to death on Sunday, 18 January, 2015 after their sentence was confirmed by the Attorney General of Indonesia.</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
According to <b>Amnesty International</b>, the Nigerians, 38-year-old <b>Daniel Enemuo</b>, alias <i>Diarrssouba</i>, and <b>Namaona Denis</b>, were convicted of the crimes in 2004 and 2001 respectively, and they are among 5 other condemned convicts who would be executed on the same day.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Enemuo was sentenced to death by the <b>Tangerang District Court</b> in September, 2004, for attempting to smuggle 1.150 grams of heroin into the country from Pakistan in January 2004; while the 49-year-old Denis, who was reportedly born in Nigeria but travelled to Indonesia with a Malawian passport, was sentenced by the <b>Bandung High Court</b> in 2001 after being convicted of smuggling 940 grams of heroin at the <b>Soekarno-Hatta Airport</b> in Jakarta.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
According to his lawyers, Denis did not understand his trial proceedings as he was not provided with adequate interpretation.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Amnesty International reported that the 5 convicts are reportedly going to be executed on <b>Nusakambangan Island</b> while 1 of them is to be executed in <b>Boloyali district</b>, both in Central Java.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"Death sentences in Indonesia are carried out by firing squad. The prisoner has the choice of standing or sitting and whether to have their eyes covered, by a blindfold or hood.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"Firing squads are made up of 12 people, three of whose rifles are loaded with live ammunition, while the other nine are loaded with blanks."</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This will be the first execution under new <b>President Joko Widodo</b>, who had pledged during his election campaign that there would be no clemency for drug offenders, despite pleas from the European Union, the Brazilian government and Amnesty International.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Some stories are surely to be taken with a pinch of the salt with questions being asked as to the sanity of the teller of such. Such was the bafflement many have been thrown into when a certain man in Ghana, Kwadjo Peter, who has been trying to convince anyone that cares to listen how he died, went to hell, saw the likes of late pop king, Michael Jackson and Pope John Paul II, the Catholic head that died some years ago.</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
According to <b><a href="http://www.ghanacelebrities.com/2015/01/15/man-allegedly-returns-dead-says-cast-hell-includes-michael-jackson-pope-john-paul-ii-sort-crap-people-believe/">Ghana Celebrities</a></b>, <b>Peter</b> claimed that he died twice, spent some time in the after world gallivanting, during which time he took a trip to hell and saw the likes of Jackson and the Pope suffering. Not wanting to end his time there, he came back to life so as to put his ways right.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Narrating his sojourn in the world beyond to <b>Peace FM</b>, Peter said he first ‘died’ whilst playing football with some friends, then was sent to the morgue. He somehow managed to revive again, but the attendant handling his body hit him with a stick when he asked for some water, killing him again.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When he 'died' the second time, Peter claimed he gained the ability to fly in the spirit world and was calling out to his family but no one could hear him, until he met a bearded man who directed him to follow a narrow path. From the path, Peter claimed he could see straight into the hell fire, where he was shocked at the personalities he saw there.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
He stated specifically he spent one month on 'the other side' where he saw the late Michael Jackson and the Pope.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
What is this guy high on?</div>
