#OyoDecides: Ajimobi, Ladoja Go Neck-to-Neck

With official results so far declared by the Oyo State office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from 31 of 33 Local Government Areas, the incumbent governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi in running neck-to-neck with former governor Rashidi Ladoja.

Ajimobi (APC) has so far polled 275,085 votes while Ladoja (ACCORD) has garnered 214,849 votes. Another former governor, Adebayo Alao-Akala (LP) comes behind in a distant third with 165,584.

Ladoja has recorded victory in 7 LGAs namely Ibarapa Central. Egbeda, Akinyele, Ona Ara, Ibadan South-East, Lagelu and Ibadan North-East.

However, Oorelope, Ogbomoso South, Ogbomoso North, Oriire, Surulere and Ogo Oluwa LGAs have been roundly won by former gover Adebayo Alao-Akala's LP.

The PDP candidate in the election and former senate leader, Senator Teslim Folarin has since conceded defeat on a live radio programme monitored in Ibadan yesterday.
