The General Overseer  of Hepzibah Assembly of all Nations International, located at 2 Arogbo Lane, off Odunbaku Street, Iju Ishaga, Pastor Solomon Eze, 32, a native of Eka, Delta State, Southsouth Nigeria, has been sent to prison for indecently assaulting an 11-year old girl in Iju Ishaga, a suburb of Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.</div>

Pastor Eze was alleged to have told the mother of the victim that there is an arrow of death in her house and she must move out to avoid death.</div>

The woman moved into the church with her children to stay and Pastor Eze, according to the complainant, indecently assaulted and also impregnated her 11-year-old daughter.</div>

Trouble started when the woman noticed some strange behaviour by her daughter who complained of stomach pain and showed signs of malaria.</div>

According to the mother, she contacted a nurse who then treated her for malaria, but the sickness continued until she underwent a scan and it was discovered that she was pregnant.</div>

When the mother asked who was responsible, she said it was Pastor Eze. It was discovered that the girl was two months pregnant and when pressed further, she revealed that Pastor Eze gave her holy water to drink and also gave her a red substance to rub on her face.</div>

She added that she became unconscious only for her to see Eze atop her. When she wanted to scream, she said he used his hand to cover her mouth before having s$x with her, and told her she will die if she tells anyone.</div>

The matter was reported at Iju Police Station and after investigation Pastor Eze was arraigned at a Snr Magistrates’ Court, Abule Egba.</div>

The prosecutor, Inspector Rachael Williams, told the court that sometime in August, 2014, Pastor Eze unlawfully and indecently assaulted the victim by forcing her to drink what he described as holy water and gave her a red substance that looked like blood to rub on her face.</div>

He pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge and the presiding magistrate, Mr. T.A. Elias, ordered him to be remanded in prison custody pending the advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution and adjourned the case till January 2015.</div>

Two sisters, Sade Oyetobi and Atinuke Adebanwo, were caught  by officers of the Nigerian Prison Services while attempting to smuggle 11 wraps of marijuana into the Ikeja Lagos State High Court holding cell for awaiting trial inmates.</div>

The sisters, who said they are orphans, brought in the substance for their brother, Babatunde Oyetobi, who is an awaiting trial inmate after he was arrested during a street fight about two years ago.</div>

The two sisters, who were handcuffed, said they had contributed money to hire a lawyer for their brother, adding that they had been coming to court regularly to stand by him since his trial started.</div>

Sade, 24, confessed that the marijuna were handed over to her by one Jamiu, her brother's friend.</div>

But their elder sister, Atinuke, married with three kids, said she was not privy to the arrangement. Crying profusely, the 32-year-old lamented that her sister had put her in trouble. Facing her sister, Adebanwo said: “Oh my God, I don’t know that it is a crime to have the two of you as my siblings. Is it a crime to stand by you after the death of our parents? </div>

“I don’t know anything about this whole thing. Please ask her; I am even sick, I was supposed to go for my treatment this morning.”</div>

Sade however insisted she didn't know on time it was marijuana. She said, “Actually, it was my brother’s friend, Jamiu, who sells watches that gave the stuff to me this morning for my brother.</div>

“Jamiu called me on the telephone and gave me the drug. I don’t know where they sell marijuana, I don’t know how much they sell it and I don’t smoke.”</div>

Speaking with Punch, the warder, Mr. A. R. Muhammed, who arrested the sisters, said the marijuana wraps were hidden inside a black nylon bag and concealed with a pair of slippers.</div>

Muhammad said, “We demanded to know their mission as they were coming in and they told us they wanted to see their brother. We asked to see what was in the black polythene bag, but they said it was a pair of slippers. When we demanded to see the slippers, the younger sister became guarded.</div>

“At that point, we ordered them to walk out if they were not willing to show us the slippers; but we became suspicious when they chose to walk out without seeing their brother rather than show us what was in the nylon bag. A 24-year-old man, Lanre Falodu, has reportedly committed suicide in a church premises in Owo area of Ondo State, where he was taken for deliverance. The deceased brother, Tunde, according to a police source, took him to the church located at Imola area of Owo to seek spiritual solution to his problem.</div>

It was learned that the deceased, who had been in church for some time, reportedly escaped at about 5:30a.m. on the ill-fated day.</div>
