The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has won 17 seats of the State House of Assembly while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won 9.

The Speaker, Prince Suraj Adekumbi (APC), retained his Yewa North I Constituency while his Deputy, Tola Banjo (APC), lost his Ijebu-Ode Constituency seat to Wale Alausa.

Hon. Alausa who occupied the seat from 2007 to 2011 was buffetted by not a small political turbulence.

Areas where APC secured seats are Obafemi/Owode, Abeokuta South I, Abeokuta South II, Abeokuta North, Ewekoro, Odeda, Ikenne, Ifo I, Ifo II, Odogbolu, Remo North, Ijebu North II,  Sagamu I, Ado-Odo/Ota I, Ado-Odo/Ota II,  Ogun Watetside and Yewa North.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured nine seats from Ijebu North-East, Ijebu-Ode, Imeko-Afon, Yewa South, Ijebu North I, Sagamu II, Ipokia/Idiroko, Ijebu East and Yewa North II.
