The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) announced that electoral activities have been concluded in Sokoto State, and publicizied the presidential election results.
In the results announced by INEC in Sokoto this evening, the PDP presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan, polled a total of 152,199 votes to lose to Muhammadu Buhari of the APC who scored 671,926 votes.
Mr Buhari was therefore declared winner of the presidential election in Sokoto State having won with over half a million votes.
