Kannywood’s celebrated comedian, Rabilu Musa Dan Ibro, is dead.
Ibro died in the early hours of today Wednesday, a colleague of the artiste, told newsmen.
Ibro will be buried in Kano Wednesday morning.
Confirming his death, a colleague and a Kannywood movie producer, Hassan Hassan, said he received the news with shock early this morning.
Ibro was household name in Hausa movies. He could be likened to John Okafor (Mr Ibu) of the English genre of Nollywood and/or Babatunde Omidina (Baba Suwe) of the Yoruba genre of Nollywood.
It is not yet clear how the comedian died.
