With less than four months to the end of the 7th National Assembly, ten members of the House of Representatives on Tuesday defected from their respective parties to others.
Speaker Aminu Tambuwal read out the announcement of the defectors at plenary today.
Five lawmakers from Ogun State - Babatunde Ogunola (Ado-Odo/Ota), Adekunle Adeyemi (Ifo/Ewekoro), Olumide Osoba (Abeokuta North/Obafemi-Owode/Odeda), Abiodun Abudu-Balogun (Ogun Waterside/Ijebu North-East) and Taofik Buraimoh (Remo Federal Constituency) - moved from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Social Democratic Party, SDP.
While four members - Isau Mohammed (Adamawa), Ibrahim El-Sudi (Taraba), Jagaba Adams (Kaduna) and Herman Hembe (Benue) – also moved from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to APC.
The only defecting female, Aisha Ahmed Dahiru (Adamawa/Yola North/South/Girei), moved from the PDP to Peoples Democratic Movement, PDM.
