A human parts merchant, identified as Olorunto Dipe, aged 35, currently in the custody of Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Lagos State Police Command, has explained how he became a dealer in human parts.
He said: “I bought a human head for ₦12,500 from Cotonou, Benin Republic, and intended to sell it to one man called Asiwaju, whom I knew from Oba Ishegun from Atan in Ogun State, for ₦20,000 before I was arrested.”
Vanguard gathered that the suspect was arrested by a SARS decoy team.
Olorunto said: “Asiwaju asked me to bring a human head. He said he will use it to help me.
“I went to Cotonou and bought it for ₦12,500 with the intention of selling it for ₦20,000 to him before I was caught by SARS operatives.”
On the help he was expecting from the said Asiwaju, he said: “I am suffering from Ete (leprosy). He promised to cure me with a human head, but he did not succeed. It was at a hospital that I was cured.”
It was learned that although the said Asiwaju was also arrested, he was granted bail because he claimed that he did not know Olorunto.
