ABUJA, NIGERIA - The Department of State Security (DSS) has arrested and detained Gordon Obuah, the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
A source at the DSS says Mr. Obuah's detention was as a result of an investigation that implicated him in aiding oil bunkering.
Family sources said Mr. Obuah has been detained since Thursday, July 16 days after he was asked to be reporting daily to Yellow House, the DSS Headquarters in Abuja.
A representative of Mr. Obua's family said since his detention, Mr. Obuah has been kept in solitary confinement and denied access to family members, medical care and his lawyers.
