A former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has said President Goodluck Jonathan, is one of the best performing presidents in the history of the country, and should be re-elected in the February 14 election.
He said this while inaugurating the state’s President Goodluck Jonathan/Sambo Presidential Campaign Organisation Advisory Committee at party secretariat, Onikolobo, Abeokuta.
The PUNCH reports that the 22-member committee is headed by Segun Seriki, while members include a former Speaker, House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole; former Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Titi Oseni; and Senator Jubril Martins Kuye among others.
Daniel said President Jonathan had rejuvenated the railway system, carried out extensive road construction and other infrastructural development across the country.
He said, “The Peoples Democratic Party has become one in this state. We must all vote for President Goodluck Jonathan. He is one of the best performing presidents in the (history of the) country.
“When we were young and we were to go on excursion, we travelled by train from Idogo, passing through Ijoko, Agege among others. The rail system suddenly went into a coma. It is President Jonathan that revived it.
“On road construction, we must give it to Jonathan. We can all see the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, and the Sagamu-Benin-Ore Road. What about the renovation and construction of airports? He also established more higher institutions in the country.”
